Searchlights have long been used by the military, when battleships and other major vessels were equipped with them. Searchlights today, though not used as commonly at sea, have been adapted by the entertainment industry, shining the lights into the sky for major events-film premiers, the World Series, lavish galas, or awards ceremonies. The sight of a searchlight beaming through the night sky seems to reflect on the past while announcing excitement. The Half Mile Ray Serachlight is a beautiful throwback to searchlights of old. Mounted on a wooden collapsable tripod, the powerful light might be a remake of a vintage model, but it manages to maintain a cool, contemporary look. Whether you plan to light up the night sky or add intriguing decor to your home or office, the Half Mile Ray Serachlight is perfect. The Half Mile Ray Serachlight stands 64.5" high, and is powered by an old-fashioned coiled cord through a standard outlet. The light's angle is adjustable.
